PTFE Packing PT5500 OX BAM

Composition

100% PTFE Multifilament yarns for oxygen use

Characteristics

The PT5500 OX packing is a reliable solution for applications that require the use of PTFE. Made with pure PTFE multifilament yarns, this packing has obtained BAM approval for use with Gaseous Oxygen under specific conditions of Tmax=60°C and Pmax=30 Bar. This packing can also be used for normal services where the use of PTFE is required, up to a maximum temperature of T=260°C. In addition, the PT5500 OX is suitable for use in cryogenic applications, with a maximum pressure of P=500 Bar, although it is important to remember that minimum/maximum temperatures and maximum pressures should not be associated. With these features, the PT5500 OX packing is a versatile and reliable option for applications that require a high level of sealing and resistance to high temperatures and pressures.

Applications

The PT5500 OX packing has been specifically designed for oxygen service applications and has obtained BAM approval for use with oxygen. In summary, the PT5500 OX packing is a highly specialized product that guarantees high performance and reliability in the field of oxygen service, but which also lends itself to a wide range of static applications where fluid sealing is required in the presence of high temperatures and pressures.
