  • With mildly oxidizing agents and hot air, the temperature must be limited to 450 °C

  • Graphite and carbon must not be used with oxidizing agents

  • Do not use the product at maximum temperature values or for applications at pressures higher than those typical of Flue Gas without first consulting the manufacturer

  • Other sizes and thicknesses are available upon request

  • With steam and non-oxidizing fluids, the temperature must be limited to 550 °C

The Planigraph™ line offers Premium Grade and Industrial Grade graphite sheets, differentiated by graphite purity and the presence of corrosion and oxidation inhibitors. Planigraph™ includes the following models:

  • LG without insert
  • LGR with smooth single insert
  • LGRF with single or multiple tanged insert
  • LGRHDI with multiple smooth insert

The maximum allowable load on expanded graphite gaskets depends on the type and number of metallic inserts and is closely related to the actual sealing surface of the gasket. It is always advisable to check the ratio between [De-Di], where De and Di refer to the diameters of the gasket parts actually engaged by flange compression, and the thickness of the gasket. The ratio must be at least 4.

On WN RF line flanges, the gaskets can be used up to the 300 psi pressure class.

Please refer to the technical data sheets for the application limits of the Planigraph™ product line.

Graphite Gasketing Sheet Planigraph™

The expanded mineral graphite of LGRF Planigraph™ complies with the latest update of EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS). This type of gasket ensures reliable and long-lasting sealing, making it an ideal option for all industrial applications, from the simplest to the most demanding.

Expanded mineral graphite is also known for its chemical resistance, making it suitable for applications involving almost all fluids except oxidizing agents.

Additionally, expanded mineral graphite gaskets can be easily cut and shaped to suit specific application requirements.

Thanks to its high thermal resistance, expanded mineral graphite can withstand high temperatures without damage or deformation, ensuring safe and reliable sealing.
