Guardian Performer

The Guardian Performer flange insulation kits use a metallic core on which a layer of GRE — Glass Reinforced Epoxy Resin Composite Material — is applied, serving as the insulating element. The GRE materials, in G10 (FR4) and G11 (FR5) grades, not only provide excellent electrical insulation but also offer outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance, allowing their use in a wide range of applications.

 

Guardian Performer Fire ICP

 

Isolation Set for flanges with steel core GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) coated, Mica and PTFE sealing elements.

Guardian Performer FIRE ICP is the isolation kit designed to provide a solution suitable at the same time for the electrical flange insulation and the Fire Safe configuration.

Guardian Performer FIRE ICP is compliant with the requirements of the API 6FB Fire Test Third Edition, a standard that defines the requirements and fire-testing procedures used to verify the fire resistance of end connections employed in oil, gas, and industrial plants.

Guardian Performer ICP is composed by a steel core retainer covered by GRE glass epoxy resins. Thanks to its special composition, the gasket can be installed on the RF, FF and RTJ flanges up to 200 ° C in ANSI ratings 150 - 2500 # and API 2 - 10K # and PN 420 #.

Guardian Performer FIRE ICP is particularly indicated in services with critical fluids, high pH or with the presence of H2S. Thanks to the double seal it is able in fact to offer an extremely low emission level in compliance with the most stringent limits. Sleeves and washers are available in different materials.

 

Guardian Performer ICA

 

The Guardian Performer ICA flange isolation kits use a metallic support on which a layer of GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) is applied, serving as the insulator. In addition, there is a PTFE gasket energized with a spring, which ensures high-quality sealing thanks to its anchoring to the metallic retainer.

 

The Guardian Performer ICA flange isolation kits are designed to electrically isolate and mechanically seal two connected flanges. Their main purposes are to prevent galvanic corrosion, control stray currents, and ensure fluid sealing at the flanged joint.

 

The primary seal, in addition to being made of energized PTFE, can also be manufactured in NBR or FKM rubber. It is specifically designed for applications requiring Low Emission compliance.

The Guardian Performer flange isolation kits can be used on RF, FF, and RTJ flanges as a replacement for inefficient Phenolic Ring Joints, up to 200°C and in ANSI 150–2500#, API 2–10K#, and PN 420# ratings.

 

 

Guardian Performer ICB

 

Guardian Performer ICB is the flange insulation kit specifically designed for Sub-Sea applications, using a metallic retainer capable of:

  • maintaining the shape of the gasket

  • withstanding the high pressures of subsea installation

  • stabilizing the system if the flange undergoes movement

 

On this metallic support, a layer of GRE is applied, which acts as the insulator; the primary seal, made of spring-energized PTFE, is also supported by a secondary seal in NBR or FKM rubber to enhance sealing performance and ensure maximum system efficiency. Since the secondary seals are bidirectional, they can block external pressure from seawater, while the primary seal performs its function by containing the internal pressure.

 

Sub-Sea flange insulation kits are systems designed to electrically isolate and mechanically seal flanged joints installed underwater, often at great depths, and must be able to operate in extreme conditions: high pressures, low temperatures, structural movements, saltwater, and limited maintenance possibilities.

The Guardian Performer ICB insulation kit is suitable for use up to 200°C in ANSI 150–2500#, API 2–10K#, and PN 420# ratings.
