Guardian Performer ICB is the flange insulation kit specifically designed for Sub-Sea applications, using a metallic retainer capable of:
maintaining the shape of the gasket
withstanding the high pressures of subsea installation
stabilizing the system if the flange undergoes movement
On this metallic support, a layer of GRE is applied, which acts as the insulator; the primary seal, made of spring-energized PTFE, is also supported by a secondary seal in NBR or FKM rubber to enhance sealing performance and ensure maximum system efficiency. Since the secondary seals are bidirectional, they can block external pressure from seawater, while the primary seal performs its function by containing the internal pressure.
