The Planiflex™ gasket sheet line is made from organic and inorganic fiber-based materials bound with NBR. These materials are carefully selected to meet high performance standards for a wide range of industrial applications.
Planiflex™ gaskets are suitable for sealing with vapors, lubricants, solvents, gases, steam, and many diluted acids and alkalis, and can also be used as gaskets together with PTFE envelopes.
The Planiflex™ line includes the following models:
PF41 – Cellulose fibers, inert materials, and NBR binder
PF63 – Aramidic and inorganic fibers with NBR binder
PF64 – Aramidic fibers, inert materials, and NBR binder
PF65 – Inorganic and glass fibers, inert materials, and NBR binder
PF81 – Aramidic fibers, lamellar graphite, inert materials, and NBR binder
The Planiflex™ compressed fiber sheets for asbestos-free gaskets show excellent sealing capability and can be used with oils, gases, fuels, and inorganic acids. Planiflex™ also demonstrates excellent stress retention properties and outstanding sealing performance.
Planiflex™ can be applied continuously within the temperature range specified in the technical datasheet and within the pressure ranges up to 300/600 lbs and PN16/40 ratings. These gaskets show chemical compatibility within the pH range typical of nitrile rubbers.
