Carbon packing GR8888

Composition

The graphite gland packing GR8888 is made with Rayon carbon yarns high carbon content, impregnated with colloidal graphite and passive inhibitor of corrosion. The Rayon yarns are flexible and insensitive to thermal cycles. Because each yarn is impregnated with colloidal graphite reach of passive inhibitor of corrosion the compression packing GR8888 is able to preserve the stem and shaft integrity. The packing GR8888 it’s very high temperature resistant, showing minimal volume and weight loss, able to preserve the recovery over time and suitable for Valves and Pumps applications with all fluids and gases, excluded the strong oxidizers, combustion’s gases and hot air over 450°C.

  • Never use the product to the maximum temperature and pressure associated. Consult the manufacturer for further information

  • The peak temperature can be sustained for short exposures

  • With weakly oxidizing agents and hot air the temperature must be limited to 450 ° C

  • With steam and non-oxidizing fluids the temperature must be limited to 650 ° C

  • Graphite and carbon cannot be used with oxidizing fluids
