CARRARA S.p.a., was founded in 1961, today has become one of the most important European producers of industrial seal systems, specialized in the production of sealing devices for valves, pumps and flanges. With the advent of the second generation in business management, that caught in the removal of the asbestos products the key for the renewal and the growth; the company grown up in a specific segment market and took in few years the role of “Considerable Player” concern the international market, precisely in packing and in the graphite gaskets for valves.
The strong growth happened in the first cycle post asbestos period was the result of an action based on the realization of innovative and qualitative products, used to reduce the gap between the brand and the main International Players and to consolidate the positioning in the market with an effective and focused commercial strategy.
To reach these important objectives it was decided to stipulate synergistic relationships with the main suppliers of the raw materials selected, which cooperated with the technical team Carrara in some phases of the development of major products, and it was introduced a system of production that ensured quality standards associated with large production capacity. The commercial penetration of products and Brand was pursued methodically through the achievement of ISO 9001 certification, the opening of a distribution network and with the start of the qualification processes in Refinery, Petrochemical, Energy and EPC – Engineering Procurement Construction segments, in Italy and abroad.
In 2001 was opened a new headquarters that allowed a significant increase of productivity and logistic capacity, thanks to an intense commercial activity and the extension of product range, it was possible to increase the customers portfolio and grow up also in this environment every day more competitive and in changing that sometimes it considers with the unfavorable economic cycles. The portfolio includes today 1000 customers, among which many prestigious Brands of the International Industry with which the commercial relationship is often regulated by multi-years framework contract.
